SOWING: Direct seed (recommended) - After the last frost date when soil has warmed. Sow 1/4" deep. Thin to stand 12-24" apart (depending on variety) when first true leaves appear. Transplant - Sow indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Handle carefully to avoid disturbing roots; do not allow plants to become root bound. Succession sow every 2-3 weeks until midsummer for continuous bloom. Performs best in hot weather.
